Plumeria Rain LLC was established in October 2003 by the mother-and-son team of Tina and Zachary Ortogero. Originally the business was primarily to retail handmade-in-Hawai`i gifts. Zachary was able to bring his mother into the business after they both attended a class where they learned how to make glycerin soap products. Feeling excited about the prospects of actually making the products instead of searching for products, Tina and Zack began to experiment and expand their line of bath and body products and other gifts beyond simple soaps and shower gels. Now offering unique moisturizers, exfoliaters, and cleansers, Plumeria Rain’s humble beginnings have blossomed into a healthy product line offering custom handmade-in-Hawai`i bath and body products.

Plumeria Rain's products are hand-made in Hawaii.  Our workshop is based in Kailua, HI.  All products are hand mixed, hand poured and labeled by hand.  We use the utmost care when creating Plumeria Rain products.  We take pride in our ingredients and believe that our products are a reflection of us and of Hawaii.  We want you to thouroughly enjoy our products as much as we do.  We want you to feel the joy and relaxation, allowing yourself to be consumed by the wonderful fragrances Hawaii has to offer.  All of our products contain ZERO PARABENS of any kind.  We NEVER TEST ON ANIMALS and use ORGANIC MATERIALS whenever possible.

About Kailua, HI

Kailua, is a town on the north eastern coast of Oahu, the third largest island in the Hawaiian Island Chain.  A tropical place nestled between the steep slopes of the Koolau mountain range and bordered by Kailua and Lanikai Beach Park, Kailua is certainly not a place to be missed.  First inhabited some 1500 years ago by early native Hawaiians, Kailua has seen a steady rise in population with some 35,000 people calling it home by the 2000 census.

Kailua means “two seas” and is aptly named that after the two world famous beaches that make up its beautiful shoreline, Kailua Beach (ranked 1^st in World’s Best Beaches in 1998) and Lanikai Beach (also makes frequent appearances on the World’s Best Beach list).

We’ve called Kailua home since 1989 and hope to bring some of our that great Kailua Beach feeling to you.
